Job Description:
The role is responsible for leading CAE teams and programs especially of Crash & Safety, while overseeing NVH, Durability simulations and FE Modelling activities. The incumbent will ensure technical excellence, customer satisfaction, people development, and operational efficiency across CAE teams and programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical & Domain Leadership:
- Lead full vehicle and subsystem impact analysis using LS-DYNA for global automotive OEMs and Tier-1 customers.
- Manage teams of CAE leaders and engineers predominantly working on FEM/FEA.
- Manage small teams of MBD and CFD engineers ( operations only).
- Provide technical oversight across CAE domains.
- Approve deliveries of FE models, solver setups, simulations, result interpretation, correlation, and reports.
- Define and implement new CAE methodologies, standards, and best practices.
Project & Delivery Management
- Manage execution of multiple CAE programs across customers.
- Track milestones, ensure on-time delivery, and ensure quality of delivery.
- Coordinate with internal and customer teams.
People Leadership
- Develop and lead teams for effective response to customer and business requirements.
- Develop and deploy comprehensive project management, productivity and competency management processes.
- Set up the KPIs, evaluate performance of the team members and recommend corrective actions where ever necessary to ensure optimal skills and performance levels.
Experience Required:
- Experience of working as part of a global organization, preferably a Japanese organization
with matrix structure.
- Experience of having worked with multicultural teams and customers.
- 8+ years of experience in leading and mentoring CAE teams and projects
Tool knowledge
- Hands-on expertise in Full Vehicle and Subsystem level impact simulations using LsDyna, HM/ANSA and other popular CAE tools for global safety standards.
Must have skills
- Hands-on expertise in Full Vehicle and Subsystem level impact simulations using LsDyna.
- Deep understanding of different safety standards (FMVSS/Euro NCAP).
- ANSA / HyperMesh for pre-processing.
Good to have skills
- Durability, NVH Analysis skills.
- Knowledge of PAM-CRASH, NASTRAN.
Customer & Business Engagement
- Act as the primary technical interface with customer CAE teams.
- Participate in technical reviews, issue resolution, and discussions.
- Support presales and business growth through technical inputs.
