Job Summary: We're looking for a Business Planning & Commercial Finance Manager to lead long-term business planning, annual operating plan development, and cross-functional performance management. This role will partner closely with category, channel, operations, and finance teams to translate business goals into actionable plans, track performance against targets, and improve working capital and inventory health.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead AOP building and support long-term business planning across categories and channels.

● Partner with category and channel leads to develop business cases for growth initiatives, investments, and strategic decisions.

● Own monthly and quarterly business reporting, including forecasts, variance analysis, and performance tracking against plan.

● Drive inventory planning in collaboration with category teams, including ordering decisions, stock planning, and bad inventory management.

● Monitor and improve working capital through disciplined inventory and cash flow planning.

● Manage accounts reconciliation for MIS and ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of business reporting.

● Partner with the operations head on supply chain planning to align inventory, demand, and execution priorities.

● Identify risks and opportunities in business performance and recommend corrective actions.

● Build structured planning and reporting processes that support better decision-making across the organization.

Key Requirements:

● Experience in business planning, FP&A, commercial finance, supply chain finance, or a similar role.

● Strong understanding of annual planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.

● Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders such as category, channel, operations, and finance teams.

● Good understanding of inventory planning, working capital control, and supply chain metrics.

● Experience with MIS reporting and accounts reconciliation.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

● Ability to turn data into clear business insights and recommendations.

● Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred:

● Experience in consumer, retail, ecommerce, or distribution-led businesses.

● Familiarity with inventory health metrics, demand planning, and category-level profitability analysis.

● Advanced Excel and experience with BI/reporting tools.

● Planning cycles are more accurate, structured, and actionable.

● Forecasts and variance reporting provide clear visibility to leadership.

● Inventory and working capital are managed more efficiently.

● Category, channel, and operations teams make faster, better-informed decisions.
