About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development leader to drive growth, expand strategic partnerships, and strengthen the global customer base for a leading pharmaceutical CDMO organization. The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, and proven success in acquiring and managing global customers across regulated markets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
- Define and execute global business development strategy to drive sustainable growth.
- Develop and implement a 5-year business plan aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify new opportunities across APIs, intermediates, and CDMO services.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to support portfolio expansion.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Own business unit P&L and deliver revenue, profitability, and volume targets.
- Drive sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.
- Lead commercial negotiations, long-term supply agreements, and strategic partnerships.
Client Acquisition & Account Management
- Acquire and onboard new customers across global pharmaceutical and biotech markets.
- Develop and manage strategic customer relationships at senior leadership levels.
- Expand existing accounts and maximize long-term business value.
Market Intelligence & Portfolio Development
- Identify emerging opportunities, market gaps, and growth segments.
- Provide commercial inputs for product selection, R&D priorities, and business expansion.
- Track competitor activities, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Support technology transfer, commercialization, and regulatory-driven market entry plans.
- Ensure timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and effective commercial operations.
