The Role

FLAME University is seeking a strategic and high energy Head of Branding & Communications to serve as the chief storyteller and brand custodian of our institution. This role will bridge the gap between complex academic research and high-impact public narrative, ensuring brand excellence across every touchpoint from digital campaigns and admissions nurturing to high profile campus events.

For brand governance, this role collaborate multi-disciplinary ecosystem of internal teams (Admissions, Outreach, Research, Alumni) and external agencies to build a cohesive, world-class institutional identity.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Brand & Content Governance

  • Develop and execute a master content calendar aligned with academic cycles, admissions phases, and research milestones.
  • Define messaging frameworks for diverse stakeholders (students, parents, faculty, alumni, and partners).
  • Act as the final sign-off for all high-visibility creative, PR, and digital outputs.

2. Digital Strategy & Narrative Excellence

  • Lead platform-specific strategies (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) and optimize performance through data-driven insights.
  • Translate complex faculty research and academic achievements into accessible, engaging narratives for mainstream media and digital platforms.
  • Oversee end-to-end lead nurturing communication (Email, WhatsApp, SMS, Landing Pages).

3. Integrated Event & Internal Communication

  • Manage the communication scope and branding for flagship events, including Orientation, Convocation, and Alumni Homecoming.
  • Streamline internal announcements and newsletters to ensure institutional clarity and timeliness.

4. Operational Leadership & Asset Management

  • Manage creative and PR agencies, ensuring high-quality delivery through data-backed briefs and structured feedback.
  • Oversee the centralized digital asset repository (photos, videos, templates) and optimize cross-departmental approval workflows.
  • Coordinate daily with key verticals: Admissions, Outreach, Research, and International Relations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 1220 years in Corporate Communications, Brand Management, or Public Relations (Higher Education experience is a plus).
  • Storytelling Maven: Proven ability to translate technical or academic content into compelling human-centric stories.
  • Operational Rigor: Experience managing complex approval hierarchies and multi-agency ecosystems.
  • Digital Native: Deep understanding of social media analytics, SEO/GEO trends, and digital lead-nurture journeys.
  • Leadership: A collaborative leader who can navigate a high-stakeholder environment with diplomacy and precision.

Qualification

MBA / Post Graduate in Media, Branding & Communication, Digital Marketing or related fields form leading university.
