Head of Architecture

Position: Head – Architecture

Location: Jaipur Rajasthan

Role Purpose

The Head – Architecture will lead the architectural vision, design excellence, and planning strategy across all real estate projects. The role ensures that projects are aesthetically strong, functionally efficient, cost-effective, regulation-compliant, and aligned with the brand promise, while coordinating closely with engineering, construction, sales, and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership & Vision

·       Define and drive the overall architectural philosophy and design standards for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

·       Ensure consistency in brand identity, quality, innovation, and sustainability across all developments.

·       Review and approve concept designs, layouts, elevations, and master plans.

2. Project Planning & Execution

·       Lead architectural planning from concept to execution and handover.

·       Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, façade, and interior consultants for integrated design delivery.

·       Ensure timely delivery of drawings aligned with construction schedules.

3. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

·       Ensure compliance with local building by-laws, zoning regulations, RERA norms, NBC, fire norms, environmental and airport authority guidelines (if applicable).

·       Coordinate with liaison teams for approvals from government bodies.

4. Cost & Value Engineering

·       Work closely with QS, procurement, and project teams to optimize designs without compromising quality or aesthetics.

·       Participate in value engineering exercises to control project costs.

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building

·       Lead, mentor, and develop the in-house architecture and design team.

·       Allocate workloads, review outputs, and set performance expectations.

·       Encourage adoption of new design tools, technologies, and sustainable practices.

6. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

·       Collaborate with construction, sales, marketing, CRM, and facility management teams to ensure designs meet market and customer expectations.

·       Support sales and marketing with design narratives, walkthroughs, brochures, and customer presentations.

·       Interface with external architects, consultants, and vendors.

7. Innovation & Sustainability

·       Introduce green building concepts, energy-efficient design, smart home features, and sustainable materials.

·       Stay updated with global architecture trends, construction technologies, and customer preferences.

·       Qualifications & Experience

Education

·       Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture

·       Registered with Council of Architecture (COA)

Experience

15–20+ years of experience in real estate development or large architectural firms

Minimum 5–7 years in a leadership role handling multiple projects

Strong exposure to residential high-rise projects (preferred)

Skills & Competencies

·       Strong design sensibility and technical expertise

·       Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, Lumion, MS Office

·       Excellent knowledge of building codes and approval processes

·       Leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills

·       Commercial mindset with customer-centric thinking
