The Role

As Head of AI, you'll own the end-to-end AI strategy and execution setting the technical vision, leading a team of AI/ML engineers, and ensuring the company stays at the frontier of GenAI in healthcare. You'll sit at the intersection of research, engineering, and product, with a direct line to founding leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI/ML roadmap and translate company strategy into technical direction
• Lead and scale a high-performing team of AI/ML and GenAI engineers
• Drive architectural decisions across LLM-powered systems, RAG pipelines, and AI agents
• Set the bar for production AI reliability, cost efficiency, and clinical accuracy at scale
• Partner closely with Product, Clinical, and GTM teams to shape how AI creates customer value
• Ensure all systems meet healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT)
• Build a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and rapid iteration

Requirements

• 1215 years of overall engineering experience, with significant depth in AI/ML
• Proven track record leading AI teams and shipping production-scale systems
• Deep expertise in LLMs, GenAI, RAG architectures, and MLOps
• Strong Python and cloud platform background (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience operating in fast-scaling, high-stakes environments
• Bonus: Healthcare tech, regulated industry, or medical coding experience
