Description
- Lead the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and treasury.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity.
- Act as a key Finance stakeholder in Group transformation initiatives.
- Review of monthly MIS & presentation to senior management
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage audits effectively.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement system and process improvements to enhance financial performance and reporting accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, international accounting practices (IFRS) standards, Indian Accounting Standards and local tax regulations.
Profile
A Successful Head Of Accounting Should Have
- A professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role of large organization (MNC).
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working within the energy, industrial and manufacturing sector.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
