Head – BP & SPL and Fabricated Structures

The Head – Procurement of Beneficiation Plant, Slurry Pipeline, and Fabricated Structures is responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement of upstream packages for the ISP expansion project. This includes cross-country slurry pipelines, transmission lines, railway lines, beneficiation plant, and fabricated steel structures. The role ensures strict adherence to safety, cost, quality, and timeline objectives while driving supplier development, risk mitigation, and contract governance. It is pivotal in aligning procurement execution with global best practices and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure alignment with project safety goals, budgets, schedules, and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for upstream packages including slurry pipeline, transmission line, railway line, beneficiation plant, and fabricated steel structures.
• Take ownership and implement operating procedures to ensure effective planning, efficient execution, and risk mitigation through appropriate contracting modalities and commercial term sheets.
• Conduct cost benchmarking and prepare estimates.
• Develop and maintain a fit-for-purpose supplier base to meet project progress objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks, ensure smooth execution, and fulfil governance and audit requirements

Education Qualification & Certifications

BE/BTech with minimum 15 years of experience in the procurement function of top tier construction/EPC/ EPCM company/ large manufacturing industry operating in the Indian market.

Desirable – PG in Construction Management from NICMAR/Reputed Institute or MBA in Operations Management.

15+ years in procurement within top-tier construction/EPC/ EPCM companies in India.

Prior experience in managing procurement for external projects such as slurry pipelines, transmission lines, and railway lines.

Exposure to various contract modalities in large construction projects – EPC, EPCM, LSTK, Unit Rate.

Experience in leading negotiations for high-value strategic contracts exceeding INR 500 Crores.

Proven track record in managing senior procurement teams.
