7 Bazaari is a fast-growing premium foods, gourmet snacking, gifting, and hospitality brand offering premium dry fruits, nuts, chocolates, artisanal sweets, festive gifting solutions, and hotel minibar products. We are rapidly expanding our retail footprint across Modern Trade, Small Modern Trade, Hospitality, Corporate Gifting, and E-commerce channels.

We are seeking an experienced MT & SMT Head to lead national growth across organized retail formats and premium independent retail chains.

Role Objective

To drive revenue growth, expand distribution, strengthen key retail relationships, improve in-store execution, and establish 7 Bazaari as a leading premium snacking and gifting brand across Modern Trade and Small Modern Trade channels.

Key ResponsibilitiesModern Trade & Small Modern Trade Sales
  • Drive sales growth across:

o  Modern Trade chains

o  Premium grocery chains

o  Gourmet retail stores

o  Regional retail chains

o  Small Modern Trade accounts

  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly business plans for key accounts.
  • Achieve revenue, distribution, and profitability targets.

Key Account Management

Manage relationships with retailers such as:

  • Reliance Retail
  • Nature's Basket
  • Modern Bazaar
  • Le Marche
  • Spencer's
  • Foodhall (where applicable)
  • Premium regional chains
  • Gourmet and specialty food retailers
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, listings, promotions, and visibility programs.
  • Ensure strong shelf presence and category visibility.

Distribution Expansion
  • Identify and onboard new MT and SMT accounts across India.
  • Drive expansion into:

o  Premium supermarkets

o  Gourmet stores

o  Airport retail

o  Premium convenience stores

o  Specialty food retailers

  • Build region-wise expansion plans.

Sales Planning & Forecasting
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, and Production teams.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts.
  • Ensure product availability while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.

Trade Marketing & Activations

·      Plan and execute:

o  Retail promotions

o  Sampling activities

o  Seasonal campaigns

o  Festive activations

o  New product launches

·      Monitor promotion ROI and effectiveness.

Team Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and manage MT/SMT sales teams.
  • Set KRAs, KPIs, and sales targets.
  • Drive execution discipline and accountability.

Reporting & Analytics

·      Monitor:

o  Sales performance

o  Secondary sales

o  Account profitability

o  Distribution metrics

o  Trade spends

o  Inventory health

·      Present regular business reviews to management.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 8–12 years of sales experience in FMCG, Foods, Snacks, Dry Fruits, Gifting, or Premium Consumer Products.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience handling Modern Trade and/or Small Modern Trade channels.
  • Strong network with organized retail and premium retail buyers.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and distribution targets.
  • Strong negotiation, commercial, and business planning skills.
  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills.
