About The Company
One of our clients into a leading chemical port into storage terminal, chemical port, tank farm and petrochemical.
It is a JV of Reliance and other PSU, which provides common infrastructure to its customers to benefit from economies of scale. They focus on providing tank terminal services. They own and operate a network of shore based tank farm installation for the receipt and handling of bulk liquids including petroleum products, chemicals, Ports, Storage Terminal and petrochemicals.
Job Requirement
Qualification: Bsc.in Nautical Science/BE Marine
Valid Master Mariner (FG) certification with Master Command experience.
- Around 20 years as Marine Pilot including 3 year in Port Operations
- Valid Master Mariner (FG) certification with Master Command experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of pilotage experience.
- Management-level sailing experience on tankers.
- Certified Port Facility Security Officer.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing port/marine operations.
Job Role
- Accident free Marine operations
Responsible for vessel acceptance and jetty operations in compliance with national and international maritime regulations.
Ensured safe berthing, unberthing, and mooring/unmooring of vessels through strict adherence to operational safety standards.
Managed cargo operations to prevent environmental incidents and avoid delays and demurrage costs.
Optimized tug operations for safety and cost efficiency while coordinating closely with service providers and contractors.
Led advance planning including timely dredging to maintain required draft for safe vessel movements.
- Statutory compliance of Marine Dept. Audit and Surveys
Ensured statutory compliance with NSPC, ISPS, OPRC, GMB, Customs, and Immigration requirements for port and jetty operations.
Represented company during inspections and visits by DG Shipping, MMD, GMB, and other regulatory authorities, ensuring full regulatory adherence.
- Documentation with various Bodies
Ensure that all marine parameters are maintained as per the documented guidelines.
Ensure Internal as well as external communication to all concerned authorities by subordinates.
Plan the actions as per weather monitoring report.
Accepting the vessels, which are suitable to company as vessels different from one another.
To define the smooth procedure as per company requirement for vessel acceptance to all parties.
Eliminations of Substandard vessels with clearance from local authorities.
Acceptance of vessels with customer pressure due to shortage of cargo or any other reason.
Berthing / UN berthing and keeping vessel safely alongside during adverse weather conditions.
During ISPS Annually Audit, surveyor from D.G. Shipping / GOI appointed carry out the survey and no any Non-Conformity pointed out.
During NSPC Annually Audit, surveyor from D.G. Shipping / GOI appointed carry out the survey and no any Non-Conformity pointed out.
Safety audit of Marine department without any Non-Conformity.
