Job Description

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure adherence to legal standards and corporate policies.
  • Manage disputes, litigation, and external legal counsel.
  • Support internal stakeholders with legal insights for decision-making.
  • Oversee corporate governance and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Monitor changes in public sector regulations and implement necessary measures.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with organizational goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful General Counsel should have:

  • A degree in Law from a recognized institution.
  • Proven expertise in public sector legal frameworks and policies.
  • Experience in managing legal teams and external counsel.
  • Strong skills in contract negotiation and corporate governance.
  • An understanding of legal issues within state-owned companies.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
