Legal and compliance are central to our ability to scale responsibly. As
Head Legal & Compliance, you will act as a strategic partner to business, product, and leadership teams. This role goes beyond advisory you will shape regulatory strategy, enable new product launches, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and protect the organisation as it expands across payments, lending, and cross-border businesses.
What You'll Own
- Regulatory & Compliance Leadership Lead legal and regulatory compliance across all applicable laws and frameworks relevant to the company.
- Strategic Advisory Provide senior-level legal guidance on product structuring, risk mitigation, licensing, regulatory interpretations, and new market initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management Manage relationships with regulators, banks, government bodies, and external counsel.
- Product & Process Enablement Partner with product and business teams on approvals, compliance reviews, and go-to-market readiness.
- Contracts, Litigation & Commercial Governance Oversee drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial, technology, and partnership agreements. Manage litigation, disputes, regulatory notices, and coordinate with external counsel to mitigate legal and business risk.
- Corporate & Governance Support corporate restructuring, board matters, internal governance frameworks, and policy development.
- Team Leadership Build, mentor, and lead high-performing legal teams across multiple portfolios.
Who You Are
- 1216 years of experience in legal roles within fintech, banking, financial services, or large regulated organisations.
- Strong exposure to payments, banking regulations, digital lending, data privacy, IP, and technology law.
- Proven ability to work with regulators, banks, and senior internal stakeholders.
- A business-oriented legal professional who balances risk with growth.
- A confident leader with experience managing teams and complex portfolios.
