Job Purpose: Head - Legal provides legal advice, manages risks, and ensures regulatory compliance across the business. This role requires expertise in business law, contract negotiations, and litigation to protect the organization's legal interests, while supporting senior leadership in strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
Legal Strategy:
Develop and implement effective legal strategies to safeguard the company's interests and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Legal Counsel
Provide legal advice across multiple areas of business law, including corporate law, compliance, intellectual property, and labor law.
Contract Negotiation
Draft and negotiate legal contracts, agreements, and policies to align with business objectives.
Dispute Resolution
Represent the organization in litigation, arbitration, and disputes with courts or legal authorities.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, statutes, and industry regulations.
Industry Trends
Stay updated on emerging legal trends and best practices to proactively address potential legal challenges and opportunities
Corporate Ethics
Advise on corporate governance and ethics to uphold organizational standards.
Risk Management
Identify and mitigate legal risks across business operations.
Brand Positioning
Ensure Adani's brand values are shown in all interactions. Strengthen relationships to boost the organization's brand and trust within the market and company.
Team Development
Build a high-performing team. Set clear KPIs, track progress, and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success. Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital business success.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law
Work Experience
Minimum 15-20 years of experience in corporate legal counsel roles or law firms, with significant exposure to business law.
