Job Description

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies across all jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel and internal stakeholders to strategize and resolve legal issues efficiently.
  • Ensuring that contracts are implemented according to their terms, monitoring performance, and taking necessary actions in case of deviations or issues.
  • Overseeing the entire litigation process, from initial case assessment to resolution, whether through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or court proceedings.
  • Developing compliance mechanisms and international markets, involves planning how to structure and implement these mechanisms effectively across different regulatory environments.
  • Planning real estate activities encompasses identifying project timelines, budgeting resources, and coordinating legal requirements for acquisitions, leases, and disposals.
  • Reviewing contract terms, conditions, and performance metrics to assess compliance, identify risks, and recommend improvements or amendments where necessary.
  • Evaluating legal claims, assessing potential outcomes, and strategizing approaches for resolution.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the FMCG industry and provide proactive guidance.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Head should have:

  • A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Proven expertise in corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks within the FMCG industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal matters.
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in FMCG sector
