Position Overview
The
Head Learning & Development will lead the organization's learning strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and talent priorities. Reporting to the
Chief Human Resources Officer, this role will design and implement enterprise-wide learning frameworks that enhance workforce capability, sales effectiveness, and leadership development across all business lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide L&D strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Drive learning interventions to improve productivity and sales effectiveness across business verticals.
- Establish annual learning calendars and budgets in collaboration with business and HR teams.
- Conduct Training Needs Identification (TNI) using performance data and business insights.
- Design and deploy learning programs to address skill and capability gaps.
- Measure training impact using the Kirkpatrick model and ROI frameworks.
- Lead internal content development teams to create role-based learning modules and materials.
- Supervise Regional Training Managers to ensure consistent training delivery and quality.
- Drive LMS adoption and digital learning transformation, including gamified and mobile learning.
- Implement induction, certification, and functional training programs to enhance productivity.
- Track and report learning metrics, completion rates, and program effectiveness for governance and compliance.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: MBA / PGDM in HR, Learning & Development, or a related field.
- Experience: 1218 years in Learning & Development, preferably within BFSI / NBFC / Microfinance sectors.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing large-scale training operations and leading regional training teams.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Learning Strategy & Design, Training Operations & Delivery, Content Development (Instructor-led & Digital), LMS Management, and Productivity & Capability Building.
- Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical ability, and an innovative mindset with expertise in learning design and technology.
