The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of IT Applications to join our EIT team.

As the Head of IT Applications, you will be responsible for driving transformation & innovation by leveraging technology, while ensuring stable day-to-day services of JADE applications at a Global Level. You will be leading a team of Application Specialists and be responsible for their growth and skills enhancement

The position is based out of Pune

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Roadmap :
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges.
    • Develop an Integrated Application Roadmap, aligning it with business outcomes and IT capabilities.

  • Business Relationship Management:
    • Establish strong relationships with business units, acting as a trusted advisor and partner.
    • Regularly engage with business stakeholders, manage expectations, and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Transformation and Innovation:
    • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends that can drive transformation and innovation.
    • Collaborate with business units to develop and implement technology-driven initiatives driving productivity and efficiencies

  • Service Delivery and Operational Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all JADE Business applications.
    • Ensuring the delivery of IT Application services meets the agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Managing IT Delivery projects, including planning, scheduling, and executing project tasks, managing project risks, issues, and dependencies.
    • Ensure application performance, availability, and security meet or exceed SLAs
    • Implement and maintain ITIL best practices and processes
    • Oversee the incident management process (Including major Incidents), ensuring timely resolution of issues
    • Lead problem management activities to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, infrastructure, software development, and business stakeholders, to define and deliver IT services.
    • Developing and implementing service improvement plans to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards, including data privacy, security, and compliance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • MBA degree is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills to assess service performance and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • At least 15 years of experience leading Global IT Applications teams in Commercial, Project Delivery, Business Analytics, Finance, Procurement and HR functions
  • Has worked in a Global and multi-cultural environment
  • Proactive approach to drive change and improving user experience
  • Experience in driving transformation and innovation. Exposure to Digital/AI ways of working preferred
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including executives, business leaders, and technical teams
  • Excellent People Management skills, develop Talent and growth
  • Up to date with current technology, industry trends, and developments
