Key Role Deliverables | - Network Strategy and Architecture
- . Define technology roadmap and target architecture for IP Core, MPLS, Internet Gateway (IAG), OTN, Packet Transport, Hybrid/SDH and Broadband Core.
- . Drive network modernization and technology transformation aligned with business strategy.
- . Finalize network architecture, topology and resiliency standards.
2. Capacity Planning & Investment - Lead annual and long-term capacity planning based on traffic forecasts and business growth.
- Own CAPEX planning, budgeting, investment prioritization and business case preparation.
- Optimize network utilization while ensuring service readiness and future scalability.
3. Customer Service Planning - Own customer service provisioning strategy across Backbone/NLD and Core Network.
- Ensure timely network readiness for enterprise customer onboarding.
- Drive customer experience improvements through proactive planning and capacity augmentation.
4. Product & Technology Enablement - Partner with Product, Sales and Business teams for introduction of new products, features and enterprise solutions.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, define network requirements and lead implementation strategy.
- Introduce emerging technologies supporting enterprise digital services.
5. Engineering Governance - Drive engineering standards, design governance and multi-vendor interoperability.
- Lead RFP preparation, technical evaluations and OEM selection.
- Own Acceptance Testing (AT), RA-NPI, RA-Intec and engineering approvals.
6. Operational Excellence - Work closely with Operations, NOC and Implementation teams to improve network stability and customer experience.
- Drive root cause elimination, service availability and network reliability.
- Support major incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Automation & Digital Transformation - Drive OSS-led automation across planning, provisioning, reporting and capacity management.
- Develop dashboards, analytics and AI-driven planning capabilities.
- Improve planning productivity through process digitization.
8. Commercial & Vendor Management - Manage technology partners and OEM relationships.
- Drive technical negotiations, PR/PO governance and invoice approvals.
- Optimize TCO through technology selection and lifecycle management.
9. Cross-functional Leadership - Collaborate with Product, Business, SCM, IT, Operations, Commercial and Finance.
- Resolve inter-functional dependencies for timely project execution.
- Represent Network Engineering in strategic planning forums.
10. People Leadership - Lead and develop a high-performing planning organization.
- Build future-ready skills across IP, Automation, Cloud Networking and AI-enabled Operations.
- Drive succession planning and capability development.
Shall be interacting with Business - Product, Sales team for understanding new feature and solution requirements, scope finalization, vendor interaction and implementation in the field. - Coordinating with Network Operations/Network implementation team for installation and commissioning, AT and RA-NPI, RA-Intec clearance of the network element.
- RFP preparation in coordination with all stake holders for any new vendor introduction.
- Shall be knowledgeable on key network transition topologies for creating futuristic network.
- Shall be responsible for preparation of budgetary requirements for the FY basis the AOP projections from product team
- Shall be driving network Optimization exercise to save opex saving.
- Vendor management for raising PR/PO, invoice clearance.
- Supporting network operations/NOC teams for reducing major events in the field and controlling it as a process and functioning of Transport, IP network and Central elements
- Managing NLD / Backbone related Customer Service Provisioning
- Business process document preparation covering various business process flow for new development/enhancement/flaw correction.
- Interaction with SCM for function material requirements, spare management
- Inter- department coordination for closing dependency to meet business objectives.
- Efforts towards automating process/reports for performance monitoring of the network.
- Handling planning related audit with internal/external agencies.
- Skill development/enhancement for team members to meet future network capabilities.
- Responsible for overall development of team's career growth.

| Right Person (Qualification & Experience) | - 18-22 years in Telecom Network Engineering.
. Extensive experience in Enterprise/Wireline IP Networks. . Strong exposure to: - IP/MPLS, Internet Gateway IAGS
- Broadband (BRAS/BNG) , OTN/DWDM
- Packet Transport , SDH Migration
- L2/L3 Switching
- DNS, AAA, Load Balancer, WLAN Controller
. Experience in multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, Huawei, etc.). . Proven experience in large-scale CAPEX planning and technology transformation. . Experience leading cross-functional teams and strategic programs.B. Tech / B. E in electronics and communication engineering - Experience of handling wireline Transport network business in legacy and IP environment
