About the role
The Head – Indirect Sourcing will lead the end-to-end indirect procurement charter for TEPL which covers the EMS and Semiconductor manufacturing sites and corporate offices across the world. The role is responsible for building a robust, scalable sourcing organization covering technology, infrastructure, and indirect non-technology spend, while enabling cost competitiveness, compliance, and operational excellence across sites. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong capability in IT & technology sourcing, infrastructure sourcing, and standard indirect categories along with experience in setting up social infrastructure for greenfield manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Indirect Sourcing Strategy & Governance
- Define and execute enterprise-wide indirect sourcing strategy aligned to business rampup, project timelines and cost objectives.
- Anchor consolidation of indirect spend across business, project manage the transformation of the indirect spend category by maximising leverage across businesses and locations
- Establish governance, policies, and operating rhythms across EMS and Semiconductor businesses.
- Drive standardization, compliance, and risk management across indirect spend categories.
2. Technology Sourcing (IT – Hardware, Software & Services)
- Own sourcing for IT hardware (servers, storage, network, end-user devices, AV).
- Lead sourcing for enterprise software, SaaS applications, digital solutions, and professional IT services.
- Partner with IT leadership on sourcing strategy, vendor consolidation, commercial negotiations, and lifecycle management.
3. Non-Plant Infrastructure Sourcing
- Lead sourcing for non-plant infrastructure including:
- Social infrastructure (hostels, townships)
- Vendor parks and logistics parks
- Common utilities (power, water, gas)
- Support rapid scale-up of greenfield and brownfield sites with speed and cost discipline.
4. Indirect Non-Technology Sourcing
- Oversee sourcing of professional services, consulting, HR services, legal services, travel, hotels, hostels, facilities, real estate, and indirect supplies/services.
- Drive category strategies, preferred supplier models, and long-term commercial frameworks.
5. Stakeholder & Systems Enablement
- Partner closely with operations, manufacturing, IT, finance, HR, administration and project teams.
- Leverage sourcing systems and tools to enable transparency, multi-stakeholder feedback, and performance management.
- Drive data-driven decision-making through spend visibility, analytics, and supplier performance metrics.
- 15–20 years of progressive experience in indirect sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Strong and proven experience in IT sourcing, infrastructure sourcing, and standard indirect categories is mandatory.
- Exposure to manufacturing industry is preferable.
- Deep expertise in IT hardware, software, services, and infrastructure sourcing.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in complex negotiations and contract structuring.
- Proven capability to build and scale sourcing organizations in high-growth environments.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders across business, technology, and operations.
- Comfortable with extensive travel across multiple sites to support business needs.
