Role Overview
We are seeking a senior HR leader to build and lead the HR function for a fast-growing
commodity trading and industrial raw material business with multi-location operations.
The role requires strong experience in talent acquisition, HR governance, workforce
management, compliance, performance management, and HR systems
implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead hiring across sales, procurement, logistics, finance, operations, technology, and leadership roles.
- Build talent pipelines from competitor companies and industry networks.
- Drive manpower planning, organization structuring, and workforce budgeting.
HR Operations & Governance
- Develop HR policies, SOPs, approval matrices, and HR governance frameworks.
- Manage attendance, leave, travel, reimbursements, disciplinary processes, andemployee documentation.
- Build scalable HR systems for multi-location operations.
Performance Management & Compensation
- Develop KRA/KPI frameworks and appraisal systems.
- Design compensation structures, incentive plans, and retention programs.
- Drive payroll governance and performance-linked culture.
Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, POSH, payroll,
- and workforce regulations.
- Handle employee relations, conflict management, engagement, and retention
- initiatives.
HR Technology & Systems
- Lead HRMS implementation and digitization initiatives.
- Develop HR dashboards, analytics, and reporting systems.
- Support ERP implementation from HR process perspective.
- Candidate Profile
Experience (Mandatory)
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience.
- Must have worked in:
- o Steel manufacturing companies OR
- o Commodity/raw material trading companies OR
- o Metals/mining/industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Experience managing multi-location workforce and growth-stage organizations.
- Education
- MBA HR / PGDM HR from reputed institutes preferred.
- Preference for candidates from reputed colleges/universities with regular
- education throughout.
- Additional labour law certifications preferred.
