Are you right for this role

Must have Attributes

  • Minimum 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience at a funded tech startup (Series A or later) or a specialist talent firm focused on startups
  • Proven experience of successfully executing headhunting projects
  • Has an updated LinkedIn presence with at least 5000+ connections/followers on LinkedIn
  • Based in/willing to relocate to Mumbai immediately
  • Available to start in less than 30 days

Good-to-have Attributes

  • Been part of an org since it was <20 people to >200 people
  • Has hired for fintech, banking, D2C and/or VC companies
  • Has built HR policies from scratch
  • More than 2 years experience in the same company
  • Strong understanding of ESOP structures and policies

Overview of the Job

Merito is a melting pot of cultures - banking, product and D2C - with a strong focus on meritocracy . This position has to own the implementation of this culture.

The first few months will be focused on recruitment (growing the team from 8 to 35 people) but the successful candidate should scale into a full-stack HR leader.

  • Own the end to end hiring for all open positions
  • Understand target companies and personas, to build sourcing pipelines for potential hires
  • Own and ensure candidate compliance for our hiring process (forms, assignments, scheduling etc)
  • Manage all candidate communication
  • Design and run employee onboarding
  • Build and own foundational HR infrastructure and policies

The position comes with a competitive fixed salary and ESOPs
