Job DescriptionCore PurposeThis role will be responsible for driving the end-to-end HR and Personnel Administration agenda across the manufacturing units, with a deep focus on labour compliance, contract workforce management, and factory HR governance. The incumbent will partner closely with business and plant leadership to ensure a compliant, efficient, and high-performing workplace environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HR operations and statutory compliance across all manufacturing sites, ensuring adherence to labour laws and factory regulations.
  • Oversee all statutory activities under the Factories Act, CLRA, Minimum Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, ESI, PF, and related legislations.
  • Manage a large-scale workforce comprising on-roll and contractual employees through structured compliance frameworks and governance reviews.
  • Drive vendor discipline and periodic audits for 450+ contractors, ensuring consistency and accuracy in documentation, wage adherence, and legal filings.
  • Build and manage a distributed HR administration team responsible for personnel data, records, and factory-level HR processes.
  • Standardize employment governance - including offer formats, renewals, and performance-linked reviews - across all sites.
  • Institutionalize a structured performance management process for the plant workforce, ensuring management visibility and timely renewals.
  • Maintain a positive employee relations climate and proactively address grievances or compliance queries.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (legal, audit, labour departments, and consultants) to ensure full compliance readiness.

The Successful Applicant

  • 12-18 years of experience in HR, Factory HR, or Labour Compliance within large manufacturing or industrial organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory laws, contract workforce management, and factory HR operations.
  • Proven experience managing a workforce of 2000+ on-roll and 4000+ contractual employees.
  • Exposure to multi-plant or multi-location HR setups preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead compliance audits, labour inspections, and contractor governance reviews.
  • Postgraduate degree in HR / Personnel Management / MSW / Industrial Relations from a reputed institute.
