ROLE SUMMARY:
The Head of Global EoR Payroll & Invoicing will have end-to-end ownership of Employer of Record (EoR) payroll and invoicing operations across multiple countries. This role is accountable for vendor-led payroll delivery, statutory compliance, payment reconciliation, client support, and invoicing accuracy. The position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, scalability, and timely, error-free payroll and billing across the global EoR landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Global EoR Payroll Operations & Compliance
- Own end-to-end EoR payroll delivery across multiple countries and vendor partners.
- Ensure full payroll compliance with local payroll, tax, social security, etc.
- Track statutory filings, reporting, and payments to local authorities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage payroll calendars, validations, approvals, cut-offs, and exception handling.
- Own payroll funding flows, statutory payments, and end-to-end payment reconciliation.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex payroll, tax, employment, and compliance matters.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, internal controls, and client contractual obligations.
Client & CSP Support
- Act as a senior point of contact for payroll and invoicing queries from clients or via Customer Service Providers (CSPs).
- Provide clear explanations on payroll results, variances, statutory costs, and compliance outcomes.
- Partner closely with Sales, Implementation, and Transformation teams during onboarding, transitions, and go-lives.
- Support issue resolution for critical, hypercare, and strategic accounts.
Invoicing & Billing Accuracy
- Own the end-to-end EoR invoicing lifecycle, including payroll costs, statutory charges, fees, and recharge models.
- Lead and manage invoicing teams, ensuring robust checks, reviews, and approval controls.
- Drive continuous reduction in billing errors, credit notes, disputes, and revenue leakage.
Process, Controls & Scalability
- Define, document, and continuously improve payroll and invoicing SOPs, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Drive standardization, automation, and scalability across countries and vendors.
- Support internal audits, external compliance reviews, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain MIS, dashboards, and operational reporting for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop global payroll and invoicing teams.
- Establish clear ownership models, performance metrics, and development plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, risk awareness, and continuous improvement.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 1015+ years of experience in global payroll, EoR, or complex multi-country payroll operations.
- Strong experience managing vendor-led, multi-country payroll delivery models.
- Proven expertise in payroll invoicing, reconciliation, statutory payments, and cost structures.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across clients, CSPs, vendors, and internal teams.
- Deep understanding of payroll compliance, controls, audit readiness, and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience scaling operations within a global services environment.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
- Experience within a global payroll, EoR, or HR services organization.
- Exposure to multi-currency payrolls and complex statutory environments.
- Experience supporting transformation, process improvement, or automation initiatives.
