Woxsen University is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and high-performance Head Football Coach to lead our varsity football program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of athletic excellence, disciplined teamwork, and holistic student-athlete development. You will manage all aspects of the football program, from tactical training to talent recruitment, ensuring the team remains competitive at the national and international collegiate levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Development: Design and implement a comprehensive year-round training program, including tactical playbooks, physical conditioning, and mental resilience training.
- Tactical Leadership: Lead the team during matches, making real-time strategic adjustments and managing substitutions and game-day logistics.
- Talent Recruitment: Identify and recruit high-caliber student-athletes who align with the university's academic and athletic standards.
- Player Mentorship: Monitor the academic progress and personal conduct of student-athletes, ensuring they represent the university with integrity.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the utilization of the Woxsen Sports Arena facilities, ensuring equipment and training grounds are maintained to world-class standards.
- Reporting & Strategy: Collaborate with the Sports Department and University Leadership to set performance KPIs, manage budgets, and plan for participation in major inter-university tournaments (AIU, Reliance Foundation Youth Sports, etc.).
Qualifications & Skills
- Certification: Possession of a valid AFC/AIFF B License or higher (or international equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of coaching experience, preferably with collegiate teams, professional academies, or state-level clubs.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern football philosophies, video analysis, and sports science integration.
- Leadership: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse group of young athletes.
