Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management Control
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Monitor PL, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Ensure timely monthly/quarterly/year-end closures
- Implement strong internal financial controls
- Drive cost control initiatives without compromising patient care
- Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
Lead End-to-end Billing Cycle
Patient registration Charge capture (IPD/OPD/OT billing) Insurance processing (TPA/corporate billing) Collections receivables Ensure zero leakage of revenue (critical in hospital operations) Monitor key KPIs: AR days Billing accuracy Claim rejection rates Collection efficiency Coordinate with medical, nursing, and operations teams for accurate billing inputs Billing Operations Oversight Supervise OT billing, pharmacy billing, IPD/OPD billing Ensure all consumables, implants, and procedures are correctly charged Standardize billing protocols and audit trails Handle escalations related to: Patient disputes and Recovery Billing discrepancies Insurance shortfalls Compliance Audit Ensure compliance with:- Healthcare regulations (NABH guidelines, if applicable)
- GST and taxation laws
- Insurance and TPA requirements
Lead internal and external audits Strengthen fraud detection and prevention systems Insurance Corporate Tie-ups Manage relationships with TPAs, insurance companies, and corporates Negotiate tariffs and package rates Ensure timely claim submission and settlements Team Leadership Lead finance and billing teams (accounts, billing executives, cashiers) Define SOPs and ensure adherence Conduct training on:- Billing accuracy
- Compliance requirements
- System usage (HIS/ERP)
- Systems Process Improvement
- Optimize use of Hospital Information System (HIS) and ERP
- Automate billing and reporting processes
- Implement data-driven decision-making dashboards
- Strategic Role
- Advise management on:
- Revenue enhancement strategies
- Cost optimization
- Expansion feasibility
- Support pricing strategies for procedures and services
