Job Description

Originate and convert equity mandates - Proactively build relationships with promoters, CXOs and boards of mid-market companies to secure private equity fund-raises, growth capital placements, pre-IPO rounds, SME IPO mandates and strategic equity transactions

Structure and advise on equity solutions - Assess clients equity readiness - evaluate growth narratives, scalability, governance frameworks valuation potential - and craft bespoke capital strategies. Build financial projections, valuation models and investor-ready stories

Lead end-to-end deal execution - Own preparation of high-quality pitch books, information memoranda and due diligence materials. Manage investor targeting, roadshows, term sheet negotiations and final documentation, ensuring velocity and institutional quality

Build and nurture a robust investor network - Cultivate and deepen relationships with PE funds, VC investors, family offices, strategic investors & HNIs. Position our firm as a preferred sourcing partner for quality equity opportunities in₹100-500 Cr mid-market space

Spearhead readiness for public and private markets - Advise promoters on governance enhancement, financial structuring and strategic positioning to attract institutional equity. Prepare clients for IPO readiness, pre-IPO placements and merchant banking-led issuances

Collaborate across the platform - Work closely with the Promoter/Managing Director and debt coverage team to offer integrated capital solutions. Provide equity perspective in cross-functional mandates such as structured minority deals, convertible instruments, and hybrid solutions

Contribute to the merchant banking build-out - Support the strategic road-map for merchant banking registration by establishing equity execution infrastructure, due diligence processes and documentation standards suitable for public market mandates

Act as a culture carrier - Operate with high ownership, urgency, and ethical rigour. Help attract and mentor junior talent as the equity vertical scales and embody the global professionalism we are building

The Successful Applicant

You are a proven equity originator and trusted advisor with the gravitas to engage promoters and the technical depth
to structure compelling deals. Ideally, you bring -

15+ years of experience in investment banking, equity capital markets, PE placement or capital advisory, with a demonstrable focus on mid-market India

A strong origination track record of personally winning and executing equity mandates - from growth-stage private placements and pre-IPO rounds to SME IPO lead-managed transactions. Evidence of ₹50-100 Cr+ fee generating deals is expected

Deep promoter and CXO relationships in the mid-market segment, combined with an active network of PE/VC funds, family offices and institutional equity allocators

Technical mastery of valuation methodologies (DCF, transaction comps), financial modelling, term sheet negotiation and equity structuring, including dilution mechanics, investor rights and governance frameworks

Fluent understanding of the equity capital market ecosystem Including regulatory norms for IPOs, private placements and investor on-boarding

An entrepreneurial temperament you thrive in a build-mode environment, can operate without large support teams and are motivated by outcome-linked rewards and longterm wealth creation

Exemplary communication and presence - you can articulate a equity story simply and compellingly to promoters & investors and represent the firm credibly at the highest levels

Cross-cultural agility you are comfortable working with global stakeholders and contributing to a platform that blends Indian market depth with international standards
