Position: Head – Corporate Finance and Tax

Education Qualifications / Background

Relevant and Total Years of Experience

·       Total relevant experience of 20+ years in accounting & reporting domain

·       Strong Knowledge of SAP, IND-AS, period closing & reporting procedures

·       Knowledge of taxation, fixed assets. Insurance and payroll

·       Stakeholder management

Technical Skills and Knowledge

·       In depth knowledge of Taxation norms – Direct/ Indirect.

·       In depth knowledge of litigations.

·       Ability to develop and institutionalise new financial processes and controls.

·       In-depth knowledge of financial management concepts and trends.

·       In depth knowledge about Financial IT systems.

Job Purpose:                                                                     

Responsible for managing period close, financial reporting, payroll, Insurance function, Non- Project CAPEX, AP/ AR and tax operations of the entire organization. Accountable for adherence to statutory requirements in financial reporting and taxation.

Deliverables from this role                                             

·       Timely and Accurate Financial Reporting

·       Deliver all statutory and management reports on time, with zero auditor qualifications.

·       Ensure full compliance with SEBI LODR, Companies Act, IND-AS, and related regulations.

·       Lead financial due diligence for M&A, equity sales, subsidiary listings, and international funding.

·       Regulatory and Tax Compliance

·       Achieve 100% on-time direct and indirect tax compliance, with no penalties.

·       Rapidly implement changes in tax laws and accounting standards.

·       Proactively manage tax litigation and mitigate risks.

·       Ensure tax compliance for restructuring and new business models.

·       Insurance and Risk Management

·       Secure optimal insurance coverage for all assets and operations.

·       Settle claims efficiently, minimizing reductions and disputes.

·       Support risk mitigation for new ventures and international transactions.

·       Payroll and Employee Experience

·       Ensure timely, accurate salary disbursement and payroll tax compliance.

·       Minimize payroll and reimbursement grievances.

·       Mentor and develop team for succession and skill growth.

·       Accounts Payable/Receivable & Non-Project CAPEX

·       Drive accuracy and efficiency in AP/AR with robust controls.

·       Monitor non-project CAPEX for budget alignment.

·       Support compliance for new business transactions (e.g., Singapore entity gas sales).

·       Process Excellence & Audit Readiness

·       Keep SOPs and process documentation current.

·       Lead process improvements and automation for efficiency and control.

·       Ensure audit readiness and swift resolution of audit queries.

·       Champion digital tools and automation in all controllership functions.

·       Meet KPIs for automation, cycle time, error reduction, and digital adoption.
