Contracts ManagementDevelop, negotiate, review, and finalize EPC, turnkey, itemrate, service, consultancy, subcontract and supply contractsLead preaward and postaward contract administration, including:- Scope definition
- Risk identification
- Commercial terms & conditions
- Payment milestones
- LDs, penalties, warranties, and guarantees
Handle claims management, variations, amendments, disputes, and arbitration coordinationEnsure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory requirements, and internal governanceProvide contract advisory support to project teams and senior managementDefine and implement procurement strategies for projects and operationsOversee:- Vendor finalization
- RFQ / RFP / tendering processes
- Technocommercial evaluations
Ensure timely availability of materials aligned with project schedulesEstablish strategic sourcing, framework agreements, and longterm rate contractsDrive cost reduction initiatives, value engineering, and supplier optimizationDevelop and maintain a qualified vendor baseConduct vendor assessments, audits, and performance reviewsManage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and commercial adherenceResolve supplier disputes and commercial conflictsMonitor and control project procurement budgetsEvaluate landed cost, lifecycle cost, and total cost of ownership (TCO)Support finance in:- Cost forecasting
- Cash flow planning
- Provisioning and closures
- Ensure compliance with:
- Company policies
- Applicable laws (Contract Act, GST, import/export regulations, etc.)
- Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and supply chain risks
- Maintain documentation for audits and statutory inspections
- Lead, mentor, and develop contracts & materials teams
- Establish SOPs, delegation matrices, and approval frameworks
- Provide strategic inputs to board / leadership on commercial matters
- BE / BTech (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline)
- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain / Procurement / Finance / Operations preferred
- LLB or Diploma in Contract Management (added advantage)
Qualifications
- 1525 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 510 years in a senior leadership role handling contracts & procurement
- Strong exposure to largescale projects / multilocation operations
