Position: Head - Commercial

Reporting To: SBU Head Renewable
Role Overview:
The Head - Commercial & Risk Management will oversee all commercial activities and risk management processes within the renewable business SBU. The role is responsible for defining commercial terms, managing contracts, ensuring timely collections, and mitigating risks associated with tendering, contracting, payments and O&M.
Key Responsibilities
- Define commercial terms with partners, and EPC vendors to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Prepare and implement SOPs for credit control in B2B transactions, enabling effective receivables management.
- Understanding of commercial terms and contracts with government utilities interpreting GCC/SCC clauses for supply and commissioning
- Develop SOPs for bidding and contracting, ensuring all prerequisite documentation is complete and compliant.
- Plan and monitor timely collection of payments, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and eliminate risks related to payments and O&M, maintaining robust controls throughout project life cycles.
- Understanding of ERP Tools: SAP, NAVISION, Tally & Banking Instruments (LCs, BGs, EMDs)
- Risk Mitigation & Recovery Strategy along with Statutory Compliance & Audit Coordination
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Commerce or MBA in finance
- Minimum 12-15 years experience in commercial and risk management roles, ideally within the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of B2B transaction processes, government contracts, and project commissioning.
