We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Legal to lead our legal team in a dynamic Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services law and a proven track record in managing complex legal issues.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all legal aspects of business operations for the NBFC.
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and various departments.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing NBFC operations.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with business activities.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations with external parties.
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation and regulatory requirements impacting the NBFC sector.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- 10-15 years of experience in legal practice, preferably within the financial services or NBFC sector.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in India.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and drafting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal projects.
- Experience in litigation and dispute resolution is a plus.
