About the role:
A strategic financial advisor to the Management, responsible for managing the business finance function with a focus on business planning, AOP, business evaluation, reporting, liaison and networking with the right stakeholders, and on the financial success of each business line.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a financial plan and oversee financial budgeting and forecasting for the business, considering the long term strategy of the business
- Manage business development activities according to financial plans to achieve profitability and revenue.
- Modify the financial plan and budget amount based on the changes in business plans.
- Assist in the preparation of capital budgets for the business units.
- Manage the profit and loss statements and cash and balance sheets to ensure financial integrity.
- Review the actual results against the budgeted goals to identify and correct business issues.
- Provide financial support and advice to management in closing business deals.
- Monitor KPI and identify the cause of any unexpected variances
- Monitor the commercial aspects of transactions, prioritizing accuracy and compliance
- Work closely with business units to evaluate financial viability of models
- Scenario planning, sensitivity and competition analysis of business to deliver predictably
- Support controllership team in the closing book on time and meeting statutory requirements
- Build various processes in areas of Planning and Budgeting
Requirements
- CA/MBA Finance with 10+ years of post-qualification experience in startups.
- Proficient in analysing, gathering, managing & documenting information
- Experience in working on unit economics, i.e., AOPs, Business performance, financial reporting, business strategy
- Experience in managing stakeholders & team.
