This role will drive portfolio expansion, new business unit development, and strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will convert strategic opportunities into executable deals and scalable revenue streams, working cross-functionally to deliver sustainable enterprise growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate effectively in a resource-constrained, high-growth environment while building structured growth systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute a multi-year growth roadmap aligned with company vision and market opportunity.
  • Identify new product adjacencies and expansion opportunities within the medical device landscape.
  • Translate strategic priorities into structured execution plans with clear milestones and measurable impact.
  • Build scalable frameworks for evaluating and prioritizing growth initiatives.

Portfolio & Business Unit Expansion

  • Drive expansion within the current three business units.
  • Lead strategic development and launch of a fourth business unit.
  • Identify white-space opportunities across therapeutic areas, technologies, and customer segments.

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of strategic partnerships and distribution opportunities.
  • Structure and execute commercial agreements, licensing deals, and strategic alliances.
  • Work closely with finance, regulatory, and legal teams to ensure smooth deal execution.
  • Establish long-term relationships with hospitals, healthcare providers, distributors, and key ecosystem stakeholders.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Identify, evaluate, and lead 1-2 strategic acquisitions.
  • Drive end-to-end deal processes in collaboration with internal and external advisors.
  • Develop integration plans to ensure synergy realization and revenue acceleration post-acquisition.

Function Building & Leadership

  • Build and structure the Business Development & Strategy function from the ground up.
  • Operate effectively in a lean environment, balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to enterprise-wide decision-making.
  • Represent the company in investor discussions, strategic negotiations, and industry forums.

Key Outcomes (First 24-36 Months)

  • Successfully lead 1-2 strategic acquisitions.
  • Execute multiple high-impact partnerships across the existing three business units.
  • Launch and scale the fourth business unit.
  • Establish a repeatable growth engine that supports sustained revenue expansion.
  • Deliver measurable revenue growth through strategic expansion initiatives.

Experience & Profile

  • Proven experience scaling companies in revenue within the medical devices or healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in resource-constrained environments.
  • Experience building functions and systems from scratch.
  • Strong hands-on deal execution capability not limited to oversight or advisory roles.
  • Track record of converting strategy into signed agreements and revenue-generating initiatives.

Personal Attributes

  • High ownership mindset with bias toward execution.
  • Structured strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts.
  • Entrepreneurial and adaptable, comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Resilient and outcome-oriented, with the ability to build momentum in an early-revenue company.

Qualifications

  • Marster's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • 12-20 years of experience in medical devices or healthcare.
  • Demonstrated success executing strategic growth initiatives, partnerships, and expansion strategies.
  • Experience leading or materially contributing to M&A transactions.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, commercialization models, and regulatory environments.
