How will you make an impact in this role

Amex India is looking for a Manager- Brand Communications & Digital Marketing planning to build the brand demonstrating the products and services we have to offer.

This role within the Central Marketing Organization (CMO) will play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering the brand, media, and communications strategy for American Express in India, driving initiatives that are key to the market's overall performance and growth. A strategic, growth-focused leader, the incumbent will translate business priorities into compelling brand and integrated communication strategies across channels. They will oversee end-to-end development and execution of multi-channel campaigns, including performance-led content, ensuring strong alignment with brand ethos, customer focus, and measurable business outcomes.

Conceptualize and deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns across digital, media, CRM, performance marketing, and on-ground activations while ensuring campaigns are insight-led, customer-centric and outcome driven.

  • Lead team of brand marketers for creative development across emailers, digital banners, HTMLs, performance creatives, and brand assets.

  • Manage and collaborate with creative, media, and digital agencies to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

  • Lead digital-first initiatives across owned, paid, and earned channels to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention.

  • Oversee performance-led content strategy, ensuring measurable ROI and alignment with growth objectives.

  • Drive brand consistency, premium positioning, and distinctive storytelling across all consumer touchpoints.

  • Safeguard brand ethos while adapting messaging to local market dynamics and customer segments.

  • Leverage data and insights to continuously refine strategy and drive measurable outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

1.Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.

2.10-15 years of progressive experience in brand marketing, integrated communications, and digital marketing, preferably within financial services, premium/luxury brands, or large consumer-facing organizations.

3.Proven track record of leading integrated, multi-channel campaigns with measurable business impact.

4.Experience managing creative and media agencies, with strong project management and stakeholder alignment skills.

5.Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics, derive insights, and optimize campaigns for ROI.

6.Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

7.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a refined brand sensibility and attention to detail.

8.High ownership mindset, strategic thinking capability, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
