About the Role:

KR Mangalam University is seeking an experienced and visionary Head – Brand & Marketing to lead the institution's brand transformation journey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a compelling brand vision, elevating the university's market positioning, and establishing it as a premium, aspirational, and preferred destination for higher education.

This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in brand building, integrated marketing, consumer insights, storytelling, digital marketing, public relations, and reputation management. The individual should have a proven track record of creating premium brands and driving large-scale brand awareness and engagement campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Develop and execute a long-term brand vision aligned with the university's growth objectives.
  • Reposition the university as a premium and aspirational higher education brand.
  • Define and maintain a consistent brand identity, tone of voice, and visual standards across all touchpoints.
  • Drive brand differentiation through compelling storytelling and unique value propositions.
  • Build brand equity and enhance perception among students, parents, industry partners, and academic stakeholders.

Marketing Leadership

  • Design and implement integrated marketing strategies across digital, offline, media, and experiential channels.
  • Lead student acquisition campaigns while ensuring brand consistency and premium positioning.
  • Develop annual marketing plans, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to identify growth opportunities.

Digital & Performance Marketing

  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, influencer partnerships, and marketing automation.
  • Drive lead generation and conversion strategies while maintaining brand quality.
  • Leverage data analytics and consumer insights to optimize campaign performance.

Brand Experience & Reputation Management

  • Create memorable brand experiences through events, campus activations, industry collaborations, and student engagement initiatives.
  • Strengthen the university's reputation through strategic PR, media relations, and thought leadership programs.
  • Develop crisis communication and reputation management frameworks.

Creative & Content Leadership

  • Lead creative teams, content teams, designers, and marketing vendors.
  • Develop impactful brand campaigns, videos, publications, and digital content.
  • Ensure all communications reflect the university's premium positioning and vision.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, admissions, academics, and corporate relations teams.
  • Build strategic partnerships with media houses, influencers, industry leaders, and educational platforms.
  • Represent the university at conferences, forums, and industry events.

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing and branding team.
  • Establish KPIs and performance standards for all marketing functions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Brand Management, Marketing, or Corporate Communications.
  • Proven success in building and scaling premium or aspirational brands.
  • Experience in Luxury, Lifestyle, Fashion, or Premium Services sectors will be highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large marketing budgets and agency partnerships.
