We are expanding our surgical oncology division to meet rising patient volumes and regional demand for specialized care.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform complex surgical interventions for oral, pharyngeal, laryngeal, thyroid, salivary gland, and skull base cancers, including ablative, reconstructive, and microvascular procedures.
- Lead multidisciplinary tumor boards to coordinate staging, treatment planning, and post-op care with radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and speech/swallowing therapists.
- Diagnose and stage head and neck cancers using endoscopy, imaging review, and biopsy interpretation; recommend optimal surgical or combined modality therapy.
- Provide pre- and post-operative counseling to patients and families, ensuring informed consent, expectations management, and psychosocial support.
- Maintain meticulous surgical logs, audit outcomes, and adhere to clinical protocols aligned with NCCN, ESMO, and NCC guidelines.
- Train surgical residents, fellows, and junior staff in oncological principles, surgical technique, and perioperative care standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS
- MS General Surgery
- MCh Surgical Oncology (with focus on Head and Neck)
- DNB Surgical Oncology
- Robotic-assisted surgery
- Microvascular reconstruction
- Transoral robotic surgery (TORS)
- Flap reconstruction
Preferred
- Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncosurgery (US/Europe/UK)
- Publication in peer-reviewed surgical oncology journals
- Experience in clinical trials or research protocols
