HCL Software: - Is a Product Development Division of HCL Tech: That operates its primary Software business. At HCL Software we Develop, Market, Sell and Support over 20 Product families in the areas of Customer Experience, Digital Solutions, Secure DevOps, Security & Automation.

Summary: -

We are looking for a Sr. GCP Cloud Engineer (Google Cloud Platform) within our HCL DRYiCE Product team. We are looking for candidates with 7+ years of experience who possess the following skills:

Core Skills: -

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Strong understanding of core GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions/Cloud Run.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
  • Scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (Git).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Cloud Monitoring, Stack driver, or equivalents like Prometheus/Grafana).
  • Solid grasp of cloud security principles and IAM best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Work Location: Noida.
  • Work Mode: 5 Days working from the Office.

Soft Skill: -

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support as needed.

Job Responsibilities: -

  • Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine, GKE (Kubernetes), Cloud Storage, VPC networking, and IAM.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and related observability tools.
  • Configure and maintain networking components (VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, load balancers, Cloud Interconnect/VPN).
  • Implement security best practices including IAM policies, service accounts, encryption, and compliance controls.
  • Optimize cloud costs through resource right-sizing, budgeting, and usage analysis.
  • Collaborate with development, data, and security teams to support application deployments and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production support and incident response.
  • Maintain technical documentation for architecture, processes, and runbooks.
