HCI Researcher

Responsibilities :

Conduct applied research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) specifically within the context of autonomous driving and drones. This includes understanding user needs, behaviors, and expectations related to self-driving vehicles, human-autonomy interaction, trust, and acceptance.

Contribute to the intellectual property of the company through patents and publications,

Develop and evaluate user interfaces (UIs) and user experiences (UXs) for in-vehicle systems, external communication interfaces (e.g., pedestrian interaction), and off-board tools related to autonomous vehicles, including Drones. This includes infotainment, navigation, driver-vehicle handover, and remote assistance systems.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, product managers, and safety experts to integrate HCI principles and user insights throughout the product development lifecycle.

Prototype and test concepts ranging from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity interactive mockups.

Technical and Professional Requirements:

Qualifications Required

Master's or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

2+ years of experience conducting HCI research with research publications in journals or conference papers. A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research methodologies, data analysis, and design recommendation generation.

Demonstrated understanding of human factors principles and their application to complex systems.

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Preferred

Experience specifically within the automotive or autonomous driving domain.

Experience with prototyping and Simulation tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure RP, Unity 3D, Unreal Engine).
