Description
We are seeking a Senior Manager for HCC Coding to lead our coding department in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare coding, particularly in HCC coding, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in coding practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the HCC coding department to ensure accurate coding practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to coding staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Conduct regular audits of coding practices to ensure adherence to guidelines and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and management to optimize coding processes and enhance revenue cycle performance.
- Stay updated with coding regulations and changes, ensuring the team is well-informed and trained on new coding practices.
- Analyze coding data to provide insights and recommendations for operational efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in healthcare coding, with a focus on HCC coding.
- Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCC coding guidelines and regulations.
- Strong understanding of risk adjustment methodologies and their application in healthcare.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in coding.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Certification in coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, HCC) is highly preferred.
