We are seeking a skilled HCC Coder to join our healthcare team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records and ensuring compliance with HCC guidelines. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding of medical records.
- Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures in accordance with HCC guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with coding regulations.
- Perform regular audits to maintain coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations related to HCC coding.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior coding staff as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in HCC coding or related medical coding fields.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, COC, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCC coding guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret clinical information for coding purposes.
- Good communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals and team members.
