Company Description

LimelightIT Research Pvt Ltd is a deep tech company specializing in digitization solutions with a focus on edge computing, cloud computing, AI, and IoT technologies. The company has extensive experience in the IoT and manufacturing sectors, developing customized solutions to address industry challenges such as poor battery life, high deployment costs, and the need for customizations. LimelightIT's in-house IoT network offers modularity, customizability, scalability, and industry-grade security features.

Type: Full-time | Experience: 13+ years

About the role: You'll own schematic PCB bring-up for our next-gen industrial data gateway. You'll design reliable power, digital, and sensor interfaces and work closely with firmware and test to ship production-ready hardware.

What you'll do
  • Own schematics, component selection, and PCB constraints for MCU/SoC, power, and I/O.
  • Design robust power rails (DC-DC, sequencing, inrush/ripple control) for RF/MCU loads.
  • Integrate common industrial interfaces (e.g., digital inputs, analog 010 V / 420 mA, pulse counters, Modbus/RS-485).
  • Generate fab & assembly packs (Gerbers, BoM with alternates, CPL, panel/stencil), and drive DFM/DFT with EMS partners.
  • Bench bring-up (oscilloscope, logic analyzer), debug EMI/ESD/surge issues, and create programming/test jigs.
Must-have requirements
  • Strong mixed-signal design for embedded products, from schematic to production.
  • PCB layout constraints for power integrity, return paths, decoupling, and differential pairs.
  • Hands-on with test equipment (DSO, power analyzer, function generator, electronic load).
  • Clear documentation habits (BoM with ALTs, test notes, release packs).
Good to have
  • Experience with cellular or other RF modules, isolated interfaces, safety/creepage practices.
  • Familiarity with compliance basics (ESD/surge), reliability testing, and fixture design.
Tools

Altium/KiCad (or equivalent), LTspice/PI tools, basic Python for test scripts.

Success (30/60/90)
  • 30: EVT prototypes brought up with stable rails and I/O tests documented.
  • 60: DFM/DFT fixes released; assembly jig and test points validated.
  • 90: Hardware release pack frozen for pilot/production.
