Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Development Engineer / Electronic Engineer – Design and Layout to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electronics development, power electronics design, and PCB layout, with hands-on experience in circuit design, simulation, and component selection. Experience in electromobility applications will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop circuit diagrams for electronic hardware designs.
- Design and implement layouts for power electronics applications.
- Create and maintain electronic components in the component database.
- Perform simulations, calculations of circuit elements, and worst-case analyses to ensure robust design performance.
- Identify and qualify second-source components to support supply chain reliability and component availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure designs meet performance, quality, manufacturability, and safety requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in electronics development.
- Expertise in power PCB layout, including:
- Power loop layout
- Current sensing
- Isolation safety
- EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)
- Thermal design
- Assembly risk assessment
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Good knowledge of SMD electronic components.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB design.
- Ability to perform circuit simulations, calculations, and design validation activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in electromobility projects, products, or systems is highly preferred.
