Job Description

Job Requirements

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled Hardware Designer to design, develop, and validate electronic hardware for embedded systems, industrial devices, and related engineering platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in analog/digital electronics, PCB design, hardware debugging, and system integration. Experience in ATE (Automated Test Equipment) design and development is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Design & Development

  • Design analog, digital, and mixedsignal circuits for embedded and industrial applications.
  • Develop schematics, select components, and create reusable hardware modules.
  • Perform PCB layout (or work with layout engineers) ensuring signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • Develop powersupply circuits, sensor interfaces, communication interfaces, and protection circuitry.

Hardware Validation & Debugging

  • Lead hardware bringup, testing, and troubleshooting using instruments such as:
  • Oscilloscope
  • Logic analyzer
  • Multimeter
  • Power analyzer
  • Validate interfaces and subsystems (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS485, Ethernet, analog channels, etc.).
  • Perform root-cause analysis for hardware failures and drive corrective actions.

Documentation & Quality

  • Prepare detailed engineering documents including schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and release packets.
  • Ensure hardware complies with internal standards, EMI/EMC guidelines, and safety best practices.
  • Support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability).

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Work closely with firmware, mechanical, validation, and manufacturing teams.
  • Support prototype builds, vendor coordination, and preproduction reviews.
  • Provide hardware support during system integration and product lifecycle phases.

Work Experience

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering fields.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Hardware Design and development
  • Strong experience in:
  • Analog/digital circuit design
  • Power electronics (low/medium power)
  • Sensor interfaces and protection circuits
  • Hands-on expertise with:
  • PCB design tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, etc.)
  • Hardware debugging instruments and methodologies
  • Solid understanding of EMI/EMC, grounding, filtering, thermal considerations, and reliability principles.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols:
  • SPI, I2C, UART
  • CAN / LIN
  • RS485 / Modbus
  • Ethernet (optional)

Good to Have (Preferred)

  • Experience with ATE (Automated Test Equipment) design and development.
  • Exposure to HIL (HardwareintheLoop) setups or production test equipment.
  • Knowledge of PCB testability methods, fixture design, or test automation.
  • Understanding of IoT/connected hardware ecosystems (optional).
  • Experience working with embedded firmware teams and test engineers.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of hardware modules.
  • Collaborative mindset for cross-functional engineering environments.
