Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety management throughout the safety development lifecycle.
- Lead issue, change, and configuration management based on ISO 26262.
- Support system and hardware project managers in planning and monitoring safety-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with functional safety standards.
- Develop and maintain safety-related work products from requirements to hardware design and testing.
- Derive functional and technical safety requirements/concepts at system and subsystem levels.
- Derive hardware safety requirements and safety measures.
- Support HSI development and ensure safety plan activities meet program timelines.
- Align safety topics with suppliers and customers.
- Drive safety analysis using FTA, FMEA, FMEDA, etc.
- Document test procedures and hardware safety requirements.
- Mentor and coach teams on functional safety in Volvo projects.
- Integrate ISO 26262 standards into corporate processes.
Ensure proper documentation and revision management of technical specifications.
