Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics & Embedded Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and validate embedded electronic systems for advanced applications such as autonomous systems, robotics, industrial automation, and edge AI devices. The role involves close collaboration with firmware, AI/ML, mechanical, and systems teams to deliver reliable, production-grade hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design & Development
* Design and develop embedded hardware systems including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs
* Select and integrate microcontrollers, processors, sensors, power modules, and communication interfaces
* Design power management circuits (DC-DC, LDOs, battery management, protection circuits)
Embedded Systems Integration
* Work closely with firmware teams for hardware-software co-design and bring-up
* Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers
* Integrate interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB, and GPIO
Testing & Validation
* Perform functional testing, stress testing, and environmental testing
* Support EMC/EMI considerations, signal integrity analysis, and design optimizations
* Assist in certification and compliance testing (as required)
Manufacturing & Production Support
* Create manufacturing documentation, test procedures, and debug guides
* Support prototype builds, vendor coordination, and pilot production runs
* Analyze field failures and drive corrective and preventive actions
Documentation & Collaboration
* Maintain detailed design documentation and version control
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AI, mechanical, QA, field ops)
* Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
* B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Technical Skills
* Strong fundamentals in analog and digital electronics
* Experience with microcontrollers/processors (ARM Cortex-M/A, STM32, NXP, TI, ESP32, etc.)
* Hands-on experience with schematic design and PCB tools (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, etc.)
* Knowledge of power electronics, signal conditioning, and sensor interfacing
* Familiarity with hardware debugging tools and lab equipment
Embedded Knowledge
* Understanding of embedded firmware concepts (bootloaders, drivers, RTOS – basic to intermediate)
* Experience supporting hardware bring-up and firmware flashing
Good to Have
* Experience in automotive, robotics, industrial automation, or autonomous systems
* Knowledge of safety standards, reliability engineering, or ruggedized hardware design
* Exposure to HIL/SIL testing or system-level validation
* Experience working with production vendors and EMS partners
