Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Engineer (Hardware) with 24 years of experience in electronic board design, hardware/software integration, and customer support. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and testing of electronic boards and collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful deployment and ongoing support of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities1. Board Design & Development

Assist in the design, development, and testing of electronic circuit boards.

Support schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM creation, and assembly.

Collaborate with engineering teams for component selection and design optimization with respect to performance, cost, and reliability.

Participate in power measurement activities and board bring-up efforts.

2. Customer Support

Provide timely and effective technical support to customers regarding board design, software integration, and performance.

Engage with customer service and engineering teams to gather customer requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, block diagrams, user manuals, FAQs, and application notes.

3. Software Integration & Debugging

Interface with software teams to ensure smooth integration between hardware and software.

Understand and assist in debugging hardware-related software issues.

Support validation and bring-up activities by running test scripts or developing basic utilities.

4. Continuous Improvement

Stay current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies in board and system design.

Participate in design reviews and propose enhancements for quality and efficiency.

Document learnings and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Experience

24 years of hands-on experience in:

oBoard design and bring-up

oPower and performance measurement

oTechnical customer support

oHardware-software system-level interaction

Technical Skills

Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., OrCAD, Altium, PADS).

Understanding of analog/digital circuit design principles.

Hands-on experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.

Ability to debug and isolate hardware/software interface issues.

Basic programming knowledge in Python and C/C++ added added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in embedded systems or IoT hardware.
