**Job Summary**

We are looking for an experienced Handheld Fiber Laser Welding Machine Operator with hands-on experience in metal fabrication and precision welding. The candidate will be responsible for operating a 3 kW handheld fiber laser welding machine, preparing components, setting welding parameters, and ensuring high-quality welds as per approved drawings and production requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Operate and set up a 3 kW Handheld Fiber Laser Welding Machine for metal fabrication and welding operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, welding details, and work instructions.
• Prepare, align, and clean components before welding to ensure proper joint fit-up and weld quality.
• Select and set appropriate welding parameters based on material type, thickness, and joint configuration.
• Set parameters such as laser power, welding speed, wire-feed settings, focus, and shielding-gas flow as applicable.
• Select suitable welding wire, nozzle, and other consumables for the application.
• Perform tack and final welding while maintaining proper alignment and weld consistency.
• Monitor weld penetration, bead appearance, spatter, porosity, distortion, and other weld-quality characteristics.
• Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of completed components.
• Identify welding defects and make necessary process adjustments or rework as instructed.
• Maintain the welding machine, welding head, nozzle, protective lens, and other consumables in proper condition.
• Report machine faults, consumable issues, and quality problems to the Production Supervisor.
• Maintain production and quality records as required.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices at the workstation.
• Strictly follow laser safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company safety standards.
  
  

**Requirements & Qualifications**

• ITI / Diploma in Welder, Fabrication, Mechanical, or related trade preferred.
• 1–5 years of experience in welding / metal fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with 3 kW handheld fiber laser welding machines preferred.
• Knowledge of welding MS, SS, aluminium, and other metal materials.
• Good understanding of welding parameters, joint preparation, fit-up, and weld quality.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of welding consumables and common welding defects.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
