Primary Title: MBBS Medical Officer (Multi-specialty)
Location: Bhoomika Multi-specialty Hospital, Jajpur District, Odisha, India — On-site roles. Multiple openings across specialties (fem-ale MBBS posts and specialty-specific vacancies).
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based inpatient and outpatient clinical care in assigned specialty (Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Medicine, General Surgery or MBBS medical officer posts).
- Manage maternity services: antenatal clinics, conduct normal deliveries, stabilise obstetric emergencies and coordinate timely referrals to higher centres when required.
- Provide neonatal and paediatric care including immunisations, sick-child assessment, neonatal stabilisation and newborn resuscitation as needed.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, wound management and assist in theatre for general surgical cases; manage surgical emergencies and postoperative care for assigned patients.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, prescriptions and discharge summaries; participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary handovers, and quality & infection-control practices.
- Participate in emergency on-call roster, triage acute presentations, coordinate with nursing and administrative teams, and escalate complex cases per hospital protocols.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS degree and active registration with the State Medical Council
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
- Proven competence in obstetric emergency management and assisted vaginal delivery (for O&G posts)
- Proficiency in newborn resuscitation and paediatric emergency stabilisation (for paediatric posts)
- Capability to perform minor surgical procedures and manage surgical emergencies (for surgical posts)
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient clinical management with accurate clinical documentation
Preferred
- Postgraduate qualification or in-progress MD/DNB/DGO/DCH or relevant specialty training
- Prior experience in district/rural hospital settings or multispecialty hospitals
- Willingness to live on-site and participate in shift/on-call rotations
