Primary Title: Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist
Industry: Healthcare — Women's Health & Maternity Services. Sector: Secondary-care hospital delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynaecology care in a district setting (Shahpura, Bhilwara).
We are hiring on-site clinical specialists to join a busy maternal health unit at , Shahpura (Bhilwara). Two roles are open: a senior Consultant Gynaecologist (MS/DGO/DNB) and a Gynaecology Medical Officer (MBBS/BAMS/BHMS).
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gynaecology and obstetric care, including antenatal and postnatal management.
- Independently conduct normal vaginal deliveries and manage labour room activities using partograph and established protocols.
- Perform basic gynaecological procedures and emergency obstetric interventions; escalate/coordinate referrals for higher-level care when required.
- Carry out and interpret obstetric sonography as needed for diagnosis, delivery planning, and monitoring.
- Maintain accurate medical records, adhere to clinical governance and infection-control protocols, and participate in audits and morbidity reviews.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, paediatricians, and anaesthetists to ensure safe maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have (role-specific)
- Consultant Gynaecologist: MS / DGO / DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
- Consultant Gynaecologist: Valid RMC (State Medical) registration.
- Proven experience in labour room management and independent conduct of normal deliveries (Consultant).
- Mandatory proficiency in obstetric sonography / on-site sonography skills (Consultant).
- Gynaecology Medical Officer: MBBS or BAMS or BHMS; candidates only for this vacancy.
- Gynaecology Medical Officer: Demonstrated ability to manage normal deliveries and routine labour-room procedures.
Preferred
- Experience in district or community hospital settings with high obstetric caseloads.
- Training or certification in emergency obstetric care / advanced life support for mothers and neonates.
- Experience assisting or coordinating Caesarean sections and postpartum complication management.
Compensation & Location
- Consultant Gynaecologist: Salary INR 2.5 L to 3.5 L (as advertised).
- Gynaecology Medical Officer Salary INR 50,000 to 70,000 + bachelor accommodation.
