Job Title: Guidewire Rating Developer
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
Guidewire Rating Developer to design, configure, and maintain rating logic within Guidewire applications. The role focuses on implementing complex rating algorithms, underwriting rules, and pricing models to support P&C insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficiency in Policy Center Guidewire Rating technical concepts.
- Strong conceptual, analytical & configuration skills.
- Collaborating cross work stream with BA, QA & Client.
- Hand on knowledge on GW concepts like Data models, Product models, Rate book, Rate Routine, Rate Table, Rating Engine
- Understand Guidewire OOTB PC product behavior.
- Working experience on Commercial lines.
- Knowledge on GW SBT Rating.
- Mandatory skills - PC and Ratin
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Guidewire Rating Developer
- Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating
- Proficiency in Gosu and Guidewire configuration tools
- Experience with rate tables, modifiers, territories, and underwriting rules
- Solid understanding of P&C insurance rating concepts
- Familiarity with Guidewire Studio and PolicyCenter data model
- Experience with SQL for data validation and analysis
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with actuarial and product teams
- Guidewire Certification (PolicyCenter / Rating)
- Exposure to Guidewire Cloud (GWCP)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Nice to Have
- Experience with complex product lines (Auto, Property, Workers Comp, Commercial Lines)
- Knowledge of performance tuning for rating calculations
- Experience with rules optimization and refactoring
