About the Role
Deliver an inquiry-based music curriculum that balances technical skill with the development of the IB Learner Profile for students grades 1-10.
Beyond teaching chords and theory, facilitate student agency by integrating guitar studies into broader transdisciplinary units and fostering international-mindedness through diverse musical genres.
A collaborative educator who can document the learning process, prepare students for school assemblies, competitions and annual days.
Inspire young risk-takers to express themselves creatively through performance and composition.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an inquiry-based music curriculum.

Qualifications
- Instrumental Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced performance skills, across acoustic, electric, and classical guitar. Be able to train students as bass and lead guitarists as well.
- Music Theory & Notation: Fluency in reading and writing standard musical notation, including complex rhythm, harmony, and sight-reading.
- Educational Technology: Proficiency in digital music tools to support digital composition and editing.
- Pedagogical Knowledge: Experience with elementary-specific methods which emphasize hands-on, playful musical discovery.

- Advanced performance skills on various types of guitar.
