Job Description
Role Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations.
- Translate P&C insurance business requirements into scalable Guidewire solutions.
- Design solutions across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and related Guidewire components.
- Define Guidewire configuration, customization, integration, data and technical architecture.
- Design and review integrations between Guidewire and external carrier systems.
- Develop architecture diagrams, technical designs and architecture decision documentation.
- Provide technical direction to developers, technical leads and delivery teams.
- Review solution designs and implementation approaches for quality, scalability, performance and maintainability.
- Identify and resolve architectural risks and technical dependencies.
- Lead technical discussions with client stakeholders and Guidewire teams.
- Support estimation, solutioning and technical planning for Guidewire programs.
- Provide architectural guidance through implementation, testing, deployment and production support.
- Mentor Guidewire architects, technical leads and senior developers.
- Ensure solutions follow Guidewire best practices and remain maintainable through future upgrades.
- 8+ years of software/technology experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on Guidewire InsuranceSuite production experience.
- Strong experience with one or more of PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter.
- Experience architecting and delivering multiple Guidewire implementations.
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance processes and workflows.
- Strong experience with Guidewire configuration and customization.
- Strong integration architecture experience using REST APIs, web services and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with data architecture and data migration in Guidewire environments.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, scalability, performance, security and resiliency.
- Experience working with Agile development and delivery teams.
- Strong technical communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to independently make and defend architecture decisions.
- Guidewire certification is preferred.
- Guidewire Cloud experience is preferred.
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred.
